Dave’s recognition stems from his leadership at ReaDI-Watch, where he has spearheaded the development of a cutting-edge service and platform, that enhance real-time decision-making for businesses carrying our research, development & innovation. Under his leadership, ReaDI-Watch has grown into a disruptive force in the industry, empower 100s of SMEs to grow their RD&I.
Dave holds an MSc in Finance from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, one of Europe’s top business schools. His academic journey provided him with the strategic and financial acumen that continues to drive ReaDI-Watch’s success today. The Smurfit School’s emphasis on global business perspectives, financial innovation, and leadership development played a pivotal role in shaping Dave’s career trajectory.
Each year, UCD Smurfit nominates some of its former alumni for various award categories, including "Postgraduate Leadership" award and "Entrepreneur of the Year".
UCD’s entry is ReaDI-Watch, which was co-founded in 2021 by UCD College of Business double graduate Dave Byrne. The unique ReaDI-watch business aims to change the way companies around the world invest in R&D and Innovation through its digital platform. ReaDI-watch helps companies to maximise their ROI from R&D and Innovation, navigating the complex R&D tax and grant funding landscapes more easily. CEO Dave Byrne has displayed tenacity, diligence, ambition and expertise in all that he had done thus far at ReaDI-Watch.
