ManufactureXcel 2026: Supporting R&D in Irish Manufacturing

ManufactureXcel 2026

ManufactureXcel brings together organisations and professionals from across Ireland’s manufacturing sector to discuss innovation, technology and the development of manufacturing capability.

The event provides an opportunity for members of the manufacturing and innovation community to share experiences and explore some of the practical challenges facing organisations carrying out research and development.

ReaDI-Watch attends ManufactureXcel 2026

ReaDI-Watch attended ManufactureXcel 2026 to connect with the manufacturing community and gain further insight into how organisations are managing R&D activity and documentation.

A particular highlight was the keynote from Martin McVicar of Combilift. Martin discussed the use of AI in the R&D tax credit context and the challenge of R&D reporting becoming non-value-adding work for engineers. He also spoke positively about ReaDI-Watch and its potential to help reduce the documentation burden placed on engineering teams.

These comments reflect an important part of our work at ReaDI-Watch: helping organisations maintain the R&D records they need while allowing engineers to remain focused on engineering and innovation.

We would like to thank Martin McVicar and Combilift for the kind comments about ReaDI-Watch, and Catriona and the ATIM Cluster for organising the event and bringing Ireland’s manufacturing community together.
